This 1948 Ford F-1 Panel Van is from the first production year of Fords historic F-Series of trucks. It is a well-executed restomod with a modern chassis, a 1970s-sourced Ford powertrain, a Chrysler torsion-bar front suspension in addition to front disc brakes and power steering. The interior has been nicely modified with a gray carpeted cargo area including covered floor, walls and ceiling, with matching door panels. The seating now includes dual captains chairs from a modern Ford light truck, with power adjustment in addition to a rear bench seat. The vehicle has a modern tilt steering column that appears to be a General Motors product and the doors are fitted with custom electric latches and locks. I can honestly say, though, that the F-1 looks great and appears very solidly restomoded. It starts up easily, sounds good and drives very nicely.
